Happy weekend everyone! In today's post, I'll be sharing my thoughts on the new Jo Malone fragrances - particularly their Limited Edition British Summer Cologne range. I've purchased these quite sometime ago before I travelled to the UK, but I've only recently found the proper weather to try them on (the Hong Kong weather was too humid for these!). Despite the (typical) British weather being rather gloomy and wet the past couple of days, I've had a few good summer days (read: daze) to try out these new scents...

I've been a long-time fan of Jo Malone, my first fragrance from the brand was their Peony and Blush Suede cologne and honestly, I wore that scent for more than 3 years (?!) and they were the perfect scent for the colder months. I also adore some of their other scents, such as: Wild Bluebell, English Oak & Hazelnut, and the Earl Grey and Cucumber scents.

I'm a floral gal, so I opted for two of these, the Elderflower Cordial and Rose Blush colognes. Not particularly a huge fan of citrus or heavy berry scents though (although I do think the Blackberry and Bay scent would be perfect for winter, but... we are ready for the summer). Also, purchasing any two of these will have their limited edition keepsake tin to be automatically applied to your basket, which is something I can honestly say that I'm not going to pass on!

The Rose Blush Cologne

Honestly, I'm a rose scent girl at heart. I'm a very conventional person so I love the scent of roses, however I found that so many of the Roses scents from other brands to be either too granny-ish (is that even a description?), or too sweet and heavy - not in a nice way though... so the Rose Blush is a very fresh rosey scent for me.

I'm very surprised at how lightweight this one is - again, it says British Summer collection, so I wasn't expecting anything heavy. But this one is more lightweight than I really expected it to be, and I do adore floral scents as a whole, so the rose scent is something I'm always keen to try out from different brands to make a comparison for myself. I love being able to wear super lightweight floral scents on a day out again.

The Elderflower Cordial Cologne

I've been seeing more of elderflower scents (and drinks) recently in the past couple of years.. or is it just me? Hmm anyhow I was very keen to try this scent, as I'd mentioned that I'm a huge fan of floral scents. I've been loving the Hermes Un Jardin sur la Lagune Eau de toilette fragrance, but after using it for a full year I feel like I'm ready to explore a new floral scent for myself.

Ladies and gentlemen... I think I've found a new favourite scent. Of course, I'm a rose scent girl, I'll always love rosey scents - but the elderflower cordial cologne has been such a refreshing, lightweight yet floral scent has had me at ๐Ÿ˜ (this emoji). I'm really loving this scent and I found myself opting for this scent more than the Rose Blush, or any other scents, to be honest... the Elderflower Cordial scent has been super light and soft - it's like wearing a silk sleeveless top in a nice, summer morning. Effortless.

Well, I think I'm really biased. That you can much see from my review above on the above scents, I'm overall a floral scent kind-of gal, but the Elderflower Cordial scent has given me a full summer vibe kind of mood going on. Although it's been pretty gloomy the last few days, I'm really looking forward to having a full-on summer day and I can't wait to wear these scents out!

Have you tried the Jo Malone British Summer collection? Which one(s) is/are your favourites?
